"Our minibus is absolutely amazing. We`ve started picking up and returning children who live a long way away. And of course it`s publicity for us when we are out and about. I wish we could have got one ages ago."

D1 driver training
At Castle we’re extremely proud to be working with over 1250 schools, academies, colleges and business organisations across the UK, and have become the chosen provider of D1 training due to our very high standards of tuition leading to phenomenal pass rates.
At Castle Driver Training, we understand what a minibus means to you and your students. In our recent customer satisfaction survey, 98% of customers rated us as either excellent or good. Better still, everyone said that they would gladly recommend us to other schools or businesses in their area.
If you passed your driving test before January 1997 you will have inherited your D1 licence as part of that test, but there is a big difference in driving a minibus compared to a car; just because you’re legal doesn’t mean you’re safe. For those teaching and support staff that already hold the D1 licence but have never, or rarely, driven a minibus, Castle Minibus offer MiDAS (Minibus Drivers Assessment Scheme) courses for additional peace of mind.
What’s involved in D1 driver training?
Book with Castle Driver Training - Contact Castle to book your place. NO hidden costs.
Training is one on one.
This involves online training on all aspects of driving a minibus safely. All candidates will be assigned a trainer giving the opportunity to ask any questions they may have.
Show and tell walk round of Minibus, followed by basic Q and A.
Licence check and eye sight check.
Our Castle Driver Training instructors will assess you. An assessment drive is to understand driver capabilities and set objectives for the rest of the training.
PASS your D1 training
Our aim is to make sure that each candidate successfully passes their D1. Certificates are awarded by Castle Driver Training.
